Every time i go to a site such as www.spikedhumour.com or www.cucci.com i get a message saying i need to have the latest version of flash to view this site or video or to view this browser you need to have javascript enabled.

I go to the adobe site and press download now, the page refreshes and there is a sign saying flash successfully downloaded. Every time i start up a new browser it always says download flash player.

I go back to the original site i visited and i get the same message as before.

How do i enable javascript and install flash and make both permanent fixtures in my IE(7). The same happens in firefox. And this is a new computer!!!!

When I log on to my yahoo inbox, and some other sites, I get the pop up message "your current security settings prohibit running Active X controls on this page. As a result the page may not display correctly", I went to internet options> security the default level is medium, then when I went to custom level, all the options look terrifyingly complicated. any ideas? also what is this 'active X' controls and what do I need it for?

What's a mail server? During setup of an account in Microsoft Outlook, what type of mail server should I select in order to get my G-Mail and Rediffmail on MS Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird. ( HTTP, POP3 . . . ). And what is the mail server of G-Mail and Rediffmail.
Please explain the procedures in detail. Thanks.

Or will this dvd-writer have compatability issues because of the computer being a Dell? If it will have issues, please explain what kind of technical issues I would run into.

My computer is a Dell, running on Win XP: Professional. If there is anything else you need to know about the specs of my computer, please ask.

I blindly bought a Dell pc about 3 years ago as I didn't know anything about putting a computer together at the time. Now I know a little more putting pc's together, but not enough to answer this question myself. My tech friends have not worked with Dell computers before and so we don't know if my Dell pc will have a fit if I try to add something that isn't from Dell.

i'm trying to print an instant message conversation i had and its about 5 pages long... but when i go to print it only prints one page and then stops... i made sure all the settings were correct... print all pages is selected ... i know i can just save it and print it with notepad but.. i want to "preserve" the font sizes and color...... i've tried to copy and paste into MS Word.. but it doesn't keep the text formating.... i'm just wondering how else this could be done... is yahoo that stupid and only programmed their printing to do only 1 page.. or what?? lol

She mainly wants to check her POP email account, if she has wifi and finds a compatible hotspot willl she automatically have a connection or would she have to "dial-up" or something similar?

I have windows XP, so it should be compitable.
First problem was I need Flash 2.0 drive, so I got that.
I plug my MP3 player into it, and when go to the software program, it says that my MP3 player is not plugged in.
On the box, it says I need Windows Service Pack 1, which I don't have. Could that have affected it?
