Most people we deal with us AutoCAD. It is in many ways an industry standard for producing drawings.

I would suggest taking a class in it at a local training center or or school. I did not fin it easy to learn on my own.

... depending what your specialty is.
AutoCAD is a general purpose CAD soft.
I'm architect. Once I used Autocad but now I don't.
The .dwg file format is universal, so, this could be an advantage.
