I have an HP Pavilion s7310n Slimline. I can't view data on my smart media card or jump drive. The Folder shows that both "disk"s are blank. I've taken pictures on my camera using the smart media card and they show up on the camera, but not when I put the card in the pc. (Yes, there is data on it and it is put in correctly.) I even tried restarting my computer, reformatting the card, retaking the pictures, etc. The jump drive -- pc tells me I have new hardware when I plug it in, but yet I can't find it anywhere on the pc. I've tried it in every USB port I have... nothing. Anyone have any ideas??? Thank you! :-)

It's a Compaq Presario.

Current RAM: 256MB
It was bought almost 5 years ago, but unfortunately I don't have space for a new one at the moment.
So I'm thinking of adding on about 512MB-1GB of RAM, but there's all these diffferent types. I prefer places like: Circuit City, Best Buy, Staples. So If you could give me a link to some products at one or more of these sites it would be really helpful.

Recently I placed an ad on Postaroo for my dreamsicle collection. On a daily basis I am getting offers of people wanting to purchase the entire collection, through a second party check that is way over the asking price and then send them the difference. Oh and get this, they claim they'll even pick up the merchandise too. They are all yahoo email adresses, they have no profile in the system and I'm sort of clueless how to stop these people from doing this. I'm not dumb enough to fall for it, but I'd hate to see someone like my grandma, with her heart of gold, trying to do the "nice" thing, earn a little money, and then end up in handcuffs for cashing a stolen check or something. I connected my laptop hard drive to my desktop using a laptop to IDE Hard drive adapter with power. I can access everything on the laptop hard drive except the owner's folder it denies access to it. How can I access the owner's folder to get the files I want out of that folder?

this would make it easier for me to buy songs via itunes which will download in proprietary format (so it does not work with my sonos etc), then i burn in mp3 format to my hard disk, then rip from my hard disk back into my itunes, thus no longer in protected format (and thus now works with my sonos etc)

How increasing number of transistor increase the power or speed of processor ? We know transistor have two modes(on or off) . Does all the transistor of a processor stays at same state at a particulal time ? If the answer is positive then only one transistor should be enough for a processor to process data . If answer is negative then how the transistors is in different state at a time while processor get 0or1 as input signal at a time . Processor get 0or1 as input signal at a time ; whats the output when input is 0. Answer me the same question when input is 1.

I have removed it from ADD OR REMOVE programs, and deleted it from Windows explorer, but it keeps popping up at random, I never authorized the download of this program onto my harddrive, and I can't even get customer service on how to remove it, they "popcorn.net" wants me to pay for it. Today, my wife updated Yahoo/windows Explorer. Now, that Yahoo page is totaly different, but not bad. The bad thing is, is that I can't cut and paste, or even change the viewing size of the text. There are no buttons such as file or tools. What happened and how can I get that back? I'm not that up on this, so please explain each step. Thanks.

I have a Promark ruggedized laptop running Win98SE with 64M ram. I need this configuration for certain hardware/software apps that I'm using in extreme/marine locations so I can't change the OS or hardware. But now I need USB capabilities.
