i need a free website design program.....?

Question

where can i get one? and which one is good?
i am hosting with yahoo small business. i have basic knowledge of html, but i'm not an expert.
i have a MAC ibook g4. can i ddo pages on photoshop or illustrator? i have them.
advice please :)

There isn't much in terms of free, easy-to-use web design software. You could try Site Studio: http://www.dotsw.com/sitestudio/index.html and there's nothing to lose, really because it costs nothing.

If you want something that may be on the less expensive side, you could buy Apple's iLIfe '06 which comes with iWeb (along with all the other cool programs like iMovie, iDVD, GarageBand, etc.).

Freeway Express is 89 bucks as a download, but has some interesting features and seems easy to use: http://www.softpress.com/index.php

You can layout pages in Photoshop and Illustrator for the web, but they can't be used as full-fledged web design programs.

Last alternative is to really learn HTML and use TextEdit or TextWrangler to code it by hand for free.
