I have an HP Pavilion s7310n Slimline. I can't view data on my smart media card or jump drive. The Folder shows that both "disk"s are blank. I've taken pictures on my camera using the smart media card and they show up on the camera, but not when I put the card in the pc. (Yes, there is data on it and it is put in correctly.) I even tried restarting my computer, reformatting the card, retaking the pictures, etc. The jump drive -- pc tells me I have new hardware when I plug it in, but yet I can't find it anywhere on the pc. I've tried it in every USB port I have... nothing. Anyone have any ideas??? Thank you! :-)

As stated, I have ALREADY reformatted the smart media card and then taken pics. It still shows up as "blank" in the folder. (I have not had a chance to get to another pc yet to test it there.)
Where do I find the jump drive in my files? It doesn't show up in my drives. ???

I've tried both the smart media card and the jump drive on another computer and got the same results. Smart media card is recognized, but appears blank; jump drive is recognized by pc, but can not be located to view contents (or to save contents to it). Please help?! :-\

a good trouble sjooting technique would be to try and put the the sm card or jump drive on a different computer and see if it comes up. I think most Wal-Mart photo centers have things where you can veiw sm cards and flash drives.

I did... yet i discover an identical issues in it as Miami Ink. May be the card reader has problem. Try to open your sm card using your digital camera, to connect digital camera to your computer with a usb-cable. Then you can check the SM card. If it is readable, then your card reader need to check. If it is unreadable, then your SM card has problem or need to be reformted.
