I have a Compaq Presario V2000 With Windows Xp I got it last July and I am having problems with it I can`t uninstall X-men legends 2 yet I could before Now I have tried going back intime nothing is working and my ipod shuffle won`t even work on my labtop anymore I have printed HP notebooks stuff on what to do if u cannot remove or uninstall software and the best option is to reinstall windows should I?

i have an hp 632c printer that i am trying to hook to my moms computer that is using 2000xp. Im not sure if this printer is compatable with 2000xp. I have not got the driver software disc and can not find it. Any ideas??

I am trying to retrieve information that was on an external hard drive that I had. A message popped up saying that windows writer delay failed (something along those lines). ANd then it froze my computer. Now when i plug the harddrive int othe USB port my computer recognizes that something was plugged in but doesnt recognize what it is. I tried all ways to open its in every way possible. To include right clicking on my computer and then clicking on Disk management. PLease help

We had a brand new computer go out after less than 8 hours of use - ordered a replacement part from emachines on their LiveChat and have been jerked around ever since - and still have no part - can't tell us if part has shipped or not; if it is back-ordered or how much longer we have to wait - even spoke to live people twice with same results - they even tried to sell me an upgrade - on the computer that doesn't work in the first place?
Also has anyone experienced the power supply unit overheating on a new T3504? Do the PSU's go out a lot on these machines?
What's with emachines - it's almost like they don't want to keep customers - I got the same run around when I contacted Gateway which owns emachines

I made a folder called "Other" where I put a lot of junk videos in. There are about 10 good videos, and the rest are corrupt. The rest of my (external (made from an external kit) hard drive works perfectly, however, when I move any video file to "Other" or move folders full of video into there, they become unplayable.

Windows Media Player give the error message "Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy settings might not be correct."

It's about a 200 gig hard drive (186 gig when formatted). Keep in mind that all of my other files outside of this "Other" folder work. And I cannot move the "corrupted" files out of there.

I temporarily fixed these files a few weeks ago by using the Check Disk tools with automatically fix file system errors and scan for and attempt of recovery of bad sectors. That didn't work this time.

What's up with this hard drive?

i have just gone cold turkey without internet for a week and i never realised until now how time i spend on it...most of the time, i just sit and chat to friends online - that makes me so sad!
just want to know, who else uses the internet a lot and how would you feel if you had to give it up for a week?

I took it off where my remove programs is but when i go thru the taskbar start menu, i still see it i go into where it says uninstall Privoxy and it tries to but then an error saying this..............
