Do you think we should change the driving age to 21 and let kids start drinking at 16? Maybe by the time they turn 21 they'll have gotten over the "cool" factor of drinking. Thouhgts?

The truck driver suddenly change to the passing lane heading for the turn around for the law. The co-driver turn left to miss the semi dump truck. The front right of the car hit the semi dump truck. This caused the car to flip several times. The co-worker was able to get out of the car. the parimedics had to cut my son out of the car. They life flighted him to the nearest hospital. My son had dislocated his hip and broke his pelvic. He has a deep cut going from middle of his forehead, down right side of his nose. It continue down to his lips. His facial structure above his jaw are fractured. His second forehead bone is touching his brain. The is an air pocket there. His left ankle is broken. He was life-flighted to another hospital to do the hip and pelvic operation. He is in bad shape, cause someone couldn't slow.

This last weekend 7 people died, here in Trinidad in two seperate road accidents. In both cases the cars flipped, several times discharging bodies and body parts on each somersault. Once person I know who saw the aftermath said he saw body parts strewn across the road. The question how fast do you have to go in a car to make it somersault 6 or 7 times?

Aren't buses or subway cars more likely to get in accidents, just like cars, in which you are required to wear a seat belt? On airplanes, however, how much safety/protection does the seat belt offer in case of a crash?

Just a silly question.

The rly safety Directorate shd be handed over to tourism department independent of rly admin. for the safety officers in the railways seeking avenue of promotion as cops and ds etc when the operating efficience is high. for this they will make the subordinates to violate sfety rules which improves efficent transport. they threaten the staff to violate rules and let them in a quandery when any accident occurs. I was a rly guard who didnot budge but got my selection as mailguard retarded. Even the rly afety commisioners r devoid of knowledge about rules. so the entire safety department shd b handed over to Tourism department to avoid accidents on railwys.

I've been pulled over by an undercover cop today who said I was speeding, but I recon I wasn't as fast as he said I was. He was by himself, detecting my "following speed", no proof or anything. Do they have a speeding camera in their car? Is there any proof? It will cost me $250 and 4 points, which sucks. I only have 5 points left, and I really try to be careful lately. Any ideas if I should go to court or not?

Are there labor standards that regulate how many miles or hours a professional driver (not racing) can drive in one day? I would imagine that there is something out there given the number of long distance truckers we have on the highways who may become fatigued, lose focus, lose control of their rigs, etc. I can't find anything on the subject. Thanks for any input.

On a one lane road, near a trafic light where you can turn left the trafic on the right is at a stop. A car waves someone comming out of a driveway to go ahaid. Someone is driving on the left side trying to make his turn at the light and then it happens... the car pulling out from the driveway cant see oncomming traffic and the car driving cant see the one pulling out. The oncomming vehicle hits the drivers side of the other vehicle. Who was at fault.

One thing I've noticed when in some serious traffic jams, is that 18-wheelers will move into the break down lane to stop cars from using that lane to cut ahead.

Question is, are they "supposed" to do that or are they just trying to keep others from cutting the line? Reason I ask is they seem to be the only ones who will do it and while they may be justified in doing so...I've seen some real close calls when the cars try to sneak through.

Just curious.

I have always used this to block the glare when someone behind me has their brights on but I've alway wondered if it also works as a sort of signal to them. Does it reflect their glare their way?
