just want to know the cost for a seat belt violation in ill

I don't know what it is in Illinios, but here in NJ they just upped the ante... If you get stopped for drving without a seat belt, cannot produce your insurance and registration, the total is well over $500.

Deep pockets have no limits it seems when you need to fund corrupt government.

55 dollars and if your from IL they take your license and give you an I-bond. i go to school in chicago and ive had 2 seat belt violations so far, i know im bad. if you take it to court they have no remorse for you and then its an extra 35 bones for court fees.

I don't know. In California, it can go as high as $100, I think (that's what I heard). I believe it's going to reflect on your driving record, maybe I am wrong. In California, seat belt is mandatory, no exceptions
