now I'm wondering if I should have picked her up because I'm wondering who DID pick her up. should i have? Would you have? (assuming you would not have hurt her either.) I almost feel a little guilty that behind me along came a guy in a pickup truck or something and then no telling what happened. Should I care or just forget about it?

My ignition on my 85 bronco went out and I'm resorting to Bypassing the Solenoid and stalling my truck to start and stop it. Will this affect anything later on, someone says my alternator will go out if I keep doing this (it wont be until a while til I can get it fixed and I have to drive across town to get to school)

The tire is flat and the only way to remove the wheel is to remove the compression washer on the steel axle.

Talking to a mate who goes off-roading with his Defender. Told him how many blinkered people on here think 4X4's are designed to be used only by people who need them for going off road or farmers. His reply was that he didn't know any farmers or off roaders who used an Audi TT, a Jaguar X-type, a Superu Imprezza or one of several other 4X4's.

My car has to be multi-functional... I need it for motorway trips every couple of months and running around the city daily. I also like smaller cars and need to keep insurance and fuel costs down. Any ideas for little cars with a little style that can manage long distance/high speed travel?

We were at a horse riding event this weekend. Next to me was parked a '96 Discovery with a double horse trailer, same as my outfit. Driver a youngish slim fella (no dizzy blondes etc!). Car is sitting with front wheels slowly turning, and standing still. "Try putting the diff lock on" I called to him. "The what? I've put it into 4 wheel drive, but no use. I'm stuck". I replied "But it's full time 4 wheel drive. The diff lock is used by moving the little gear stick to the left". "No, he argued, that's for switching between 2 and 4 wheel drive".
Needless to say, I engaged high range, diff lock on and pulled away with no probs. Now THAT is what annoys me about 4X4 drivers!!

I have joined a car share that travels into London. I have to leave my car at the pickup point (a public road). My car has been keyed twice in a week (every panel down one side). I think I know who is doing it, but without proof the police arent interested. How do I prove it??? Any ideas are welcome.
