I left my window open during a storm. The floor got an inch or so of standing water in it. I cleared out the water with a cup and towels and newspaper. But it still stinks.

Can you put cruise control on a car..AFTER manufactoring?

Does it work as well?

Is the cost ridiculous?

I have gotten one too many traffic tickets (speeding) from letting my mind wander - and my lead foot taking over.

Thanks!!!

I live in a city where I see alot of abandoned vehicles. I currently don't have a vehicle but would like one (of course). Is there anyway I could take posession of one of the abandoned vehicles? I live in New York State. I know for sure that these cars are abandoned. There is a law in New York State that allows citizens to take ownership of abandoned property so I am worrying if you can take ownership of abandoned vehicles.

Hey everyone my name's mike and i'm 15 and i was stopped about 5 months ago by the cops and i didn't have a license and it was my moms car. I was only 14 when i was stopped and i didn't have a license or a permit. I recieved my traffic violation which totaled around $75 plus like $89 for some costs and was $164. I payed it through a mail-in plea , saying that i was guilty. Now what i want to know is if the court will suspend my license or not ? And if they do for how long do you think the suspension will last ? If you guys/girls have any answers for me that would be very helpful ..thanks

Ethanol is a grain form of gasoline. Do we have access to it to use at the gasoline pumps in Canada.

Last night while coming home my husband made a left hand turn into our drive way. During the turn we heard a honk and saw a car coming down the hill very fast right at us. It looked like we had plenty of time, we pulled into our driveway and stopped. When we looked to our left we saw the other car fly past us and then hit a post in our fence.

He says that we pulled right out in front of him and that he almost hit us. His witnesses say the same (in another car but knew the man).
We say we had plenty of time, but the man was speeding. Before we turned we didn't see him (though sight distance is limited because of a big hill) We live at a children's home on a Farm to Market road, speed limit is 55 but there are signs posted to slow down because of Children at Play.
The man's skidmarks go straight and then take a sharp turn towards our vehicle and our driveway. If he was trying to avoid hitting us why did his car turn toward us?

Honestly what do you think? Were we at fault?

Last week my wife under instruction (as she is on a provisonal licence) scuffed a bumper of a parked car when practicing a manouver. We waited until the driver came back and showed her the 2 small 4-5 inch scratces on her bumper. The occupents of the car did not notice as it was so slow! We have received a letter from her Insurance company. Our insurance policy has a massive excess due to a) her licence and b) a voulentry XS to reduce the premiums. Therefore £500 xs... plus we will loose 2 years no claims etc etc. These scratches could cost us loads of dosh!

Therefore, can i contact her insurance and them to repair the damage and send me the bill direct, as it will work out cheaper this way. I have already told my insurance company, but i want to avoid using them to pay the bill..
