Many cars are good quality (like Mercedes, Volkswagen, Toyota, Honda) but they cost a fortune, even used and beat up.

The best quality for the buck I have seen is Volvo, also the newer Hyundais.

Taking the assumption that you mean recent production cars, I feel confident to reply, though reluctant to admit, this would likely be Honda and Toyota, and this applies fairly well across the line of all their models. I would highly reccomend that research through Consumers Reports (Consumers Union) to be well worth your time on all vehicles in the last several years. I honestly feel that their tests and results agree with over 35 years of my experiences working on daily driven autos manufactured from the late 40's til just a couple of years ago. I still pay attention to whats what today. Good luck finding what you are seeking.

i own a repair shop, and the only one i know of that actually is best for its quality and reliability,is a Toyota corolla,,there built very well and the quality that goes in to them shows after a few hundred thousand miles of driving,i have owned 5 of them, and after i drove them for years i sold them, and still made money on each one of them, and as far as i know there all still going good,i rate a car by how much i have to work on it,and these cars don't require a lot of work at all,and there easy to maintain also, but this would be my choice of quality good luck i hope this help,s.

my first car was a mitsubishi it was a heap of crap and died on the side of the road next car was a toyota corolla it hooned along until i blew the engine blew up and my previous car was a mercedes benz kompressor i got rid of it cause i couldnt afford the insurance.

As long as it hasnt got rust, has good tyres and less than 150,000km you should fine.
