I had a driver's license in Illinois. The license was suspended because I never finished paying on a no insurance ticket. Well, I was looking at the old Illinois license the other day, and realized it expired back in February of this year. So..since it's expired now, can I just go and take the written and driving tests here in Texas and get a new license alltogether? Or do I still have to "fix" the problems on my Illinois license even though it's expired? I have TRIED to call the Illinois DMV, but they keep giving me this phone number and that phone number and just directing me in circles. Has anyone been in this situation before? How did you handle it? What did you have to do?

If I have a valid permit and there is insurance on the car and i wasn't doing something extremely stupid (maybe a "you were doing 10 over the speed limit on a hill" thing)and I'm respectful to the officer what is the most that can happen when I'm pulled over without an adult in the car. Can I be arrested or get a criminal record?

After 3-4 days of camping the windshield popped out of the groove it sits in. It actually settled back into position and we were able to drive it home. The only thing that we did was level the unit using onboard system. I am thinking that the windshield was not properly installed.

Is there a device that operates off a second battery and perhaps solar power?

Some jobs require sitting in your car when the weather is hot. Normally you wouldn't want to keep your engine running to keep the air conditioning going.

There is a solar powered device that helps to remove hot air from your auto while it is parked, but this is insufficient to cool a car while someone is sitting in it.

I've seen air conditioning units on top of campers. But, I think those depend on an outside power source. Are there any like that which can run on solar power and a second battery?

SERIOUS Question; Does anyone know what size the ENGINE was that was used in the 1961 IH (International Harvester) 'Travel-all' vehicle? It is a V8 engine, and the vehicle itself looks a bit like a clunky squared version of the old Jeep Cherokee (the big Jeep, circa 1979) but the IH vehicle was supposed to be 9-passenger, 4 door, with verticle grill and round single headlights--a bit like a big stationwagon.

My husband is employed at a farm. We cannot find anything about the actual rules regarding him driving semis transporting the crops from the field and such. We've been told it is legal without a CDL if within 150 miles of the farm and the truck is registered with farm plates...but we're not sure that is entirely true. We live in Indiana and I have searched the internet for answers but can't really find anything clear-cut. He has a regular drivers license with a Chauffers endorsement, but no CDL. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thx.
