No a parking ticket is a non moving violation and therefore does not count against your driving record. It is a ticket which in actuality is given to the car and not to the driver. Just the same as the tickets to be issued from the camera intersections for running red lights. This is how they are able to skirt the law of habeas corpus and due process.

There is no way of telling if the owner of the car was driving the car. The ticket will just go to the address the car is registered to and if it is not paid within 15 days the tack on more fees and soon a 25.00 parking ticket can turn into hundreds of dollars. If not paid you will not be able to renew your license and your registration on the car. That's in OHIO I don't know about anywhere else.

In Illinois parking violations do not count against your driving record. Each state has its own laws on that subject, however. Most states, I'm sure, are similar to Illinois, however.

It could be if you did not pay it promptly. Otherwise non-moving violations are just that. They don't go on your record, it is against the car.

Yes, especially if you don't pay it. Pay the ticket & pay attention better to where you park.
