Buy one of the motoring price guides. Personally I would touch a VW Golf with a bargepole. Overpriced and oversold. And unfortunately over here!

With that age and mileage its more about the condition of the car than the precise model.
Suggest you look in autotrader or look on similar website to get an idea of similar aged golfs to give you a better idea.
