Motorcycles - July 2006

This bike has been in our family for 33 years so I want to get it going and make it look good again. It's not in to bad of shape right now but it is blue in color could use other parts if anyone knows of dealers or junk dealers for me to research parts I'd appreciate the help.

I have some time on a 750, But that was 4 years ago, I'm looking to buy a YZF600R, I do need to learn some more. Am I biting off more then I can chew. The 750 was also a sport bike, (Katana)

I've got a 2001 Honda CR125R,great bike,just has a bad oil leak around the silencer and headpipe, I called the local shop and they told me to change my jetting and needle clip position and see what that did. Do you think this is the cause of the problem, the jetting being off causing it to leak very bad? Any suggestions are much appreciated,thank you!!

1980 Harley XLS sportster oil cooler is spraying tranny fluid out of it what seal//or seals are blown? Do I need to replace the oil cooler and the seal in any particular manner or order if so what would it be? This an overhaul of a bike that's sat for 2-3 yrs. and hasn't had engine work. The electrical is good, brakes are sound. I cleaned the carb and reset it, replaced the push/pull throttle its perfect, started her up and noticed compression loss then backfire. I went around turned her off and thats when I noticed the fluid leaking from the cooler. I saw smoke near regulator but it still looks good. I replaced the generator brushes, starter is clean, all breakers replaced, wiring new and in place. I can't find the oil line. I guess I will lift the bike and follow them thru. I may need diagrams. Well thats it please help meeeeee!

My daughter's dad and I used to ride his Kawasaki 750 Turbo, only a few made and they all had the same color, black and red. I can't remember what year it was, but anyway, Has any one ever been able to ride this kind of bike or own a bike like this?? Please share your story!! My story is, he would always say that I knew how to ride, at times he would forget I was on the back with him, well he forgot one day, we broke speedometer at 130 MPH , he slowed down because he could feel my hands sliding off because I just coundn't hold on any more. That's the fastest I've ever been on a street bike. What is your top speed ? Please share any stories you may have about this bike. Thanks

I'm a 20 yr old college student, and known all around campus for my stunts. I've been riding since i was 16 and I always stressed fundamentals (proper leaning techniques, etc.). To be quite frank, I'm the man! They say find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life. I want to to race bikes!

Clicks when idling and in neutral but goes away when i pull the clutch or put it in gear. Its not a rattle just a low click, sounds like its just the valves going up and down but I'm not sure. It's an inline 4 engine, anyone else hear this on their bikes or know what this might be?
