My daughter's dad and I used to ride his Kawasaki 750 Turbo, only a few made and they all had the same color, black and red. I can't remember what year it was, but anyway, Has any one ever been able to ride this kind of bike or own a bike like this?? Please share your story!! My story is, he would always say that I knew how to ride, at times he would forget I was on the back with him, well he forgot one day, we broke speedometer at 130 MPH , he slowed down because he could feel my hands sliding off because I just coundn't hold on any more. That's the fastest I've ever been on a street bike. What is your top speed ? Please share any stories you may have about this bike. Thanks

i own a Kawasaki gpz 750 turbo. they were made in 1984-1986. i still have it i bought it in 1985 off the insurance company of the original owner.i worked at a motorcycle shop back then.we sold the bike new to a 20 year old boy from Darian Ct.he had the bike for 6 months.he rounded a corner and loss control of the bike hit a stone wall and he a tree and died instantly.the insurance company sold me the bike for 800 dollars. i put another 800 to fix the front end i still have the papers of the original owner under the seat.i guess i keep them for respect for him.the bike had 2000 miles when i got it it now has over 55000 miles on it.Ive done 140mph on it did wheelies with my wife on the back i first met her when i was on the bike in rhode island.so many story's with the bike too many to mention. but one thing about the bike is when the turbo kicks in you have to know what you re doing or you re gonna get hurt.knock on wood.

they were made in the early 80s, I had one and it was a quick bike, before that I had a Kawasaki 750-3 which was a big two stroke and also very fast, 125mph was fairly easy, the fastest I have been on a bike was 155 on a Honda Blackbird and 145 in a car on a deserted autobahn in Germany.

The world goes past very quickly at that speed

Sounds like the Kawi GPz 750 Turbo.

Almost bought one. Went with a Yamaha FZ700 instead.

As for the fastest I've ridden... I plead the 5th.

No really, I gotta court case comin' up, the judge might use this as evidence...

friend of mine had one. he used to wheelie every bike he ever had but couldn get the 750 turbo up on one until he explained to me what he was doing. it needed to be on boost and he was trying at too low a speed so it just spun up the back wheel. I told him he needed to be travelling faster but he didnt believe me until one day he was doing about 90+ in 5th gear, changed down twice to accelerate past a bus and the front end came up almost vertical. He started to get used to this and found it would wheelie at any speed from 90+ to about 130mph. sold it after a couple of weeks of this as he knew it was only a matter of time before he flipped it and got hurt/killed.

Yes, a friend of mine had one. I test drove it, while driving past him I cracked the throttle, the back tire broke lose and holy $hit I hung on. After that I just stuck to my Harley for scenic cruises. If I drove that type of bike I would probably kill myself and I grew up riding dirt bikes. That type of bike had too much potential for me to drive fast and crazy.

that bike, became the "Ninja"!
my uncle had one, I wasn't aloud to touch it, but he would sneak me a few rides, I would sit on the tank and he would never get out of first. could be why I ride today.
