Which would be more reliable? cheaper to maintain? easier to find parts for? Is either of these even worth considering as a good-weather-only daily driver?

Im looking for used Porsche boxsters that are in the price range of the low-20's. I have found several cars that are local and that i can check out, however, im not sure about the long-term reliability of them. The one that i am specifically wondering about has 90k miles on it. It's a '99 Boxster Sport package. It has a clean carfax and only 2 previous owners. My main concern is that, even if the car test drives well, how long can i expect a smooth ride until i run into maintenance issues, repairs, etc...

I'm thinking of getting a 944, around 10-12 years old, as a second car (fairly low annual mileage). At the price I can afford, it will have a lot of miles on the clock. Is it likely to be worthwhile, or a dog? What should I look for when I take a test drive?

Hi all,

Since I saw Risky Buisness back in the day, the 928 has had a special place in my heart. Now that I have an opportunity to buy one, what kind of experiences have you had with them? Also, is there weaknesses that I should look at regarding maintainence? Thanks much!
