I just bought a 2002 Chevy Avalanche for a pretty good price. Five days after I bought it I notice coolent on the ground. I took it to a Firestone and they told me i had a blown head gasket.. It runs smooth, it doesn't smoke, and it doesn't run hot. I checked back again and they told me that the water haven't reached the oil yet. Are they trying to rob me or did I catch the leak in time?

Ok, I went mud riding in my 2001 4wd yukon, i ran into some deep *** water and got stuck, so the truck was running with the exhaust under water, water came inside the truck up to my gas pedals,, and up to the botom of the headlight in the front. it was runni9ng for about 10 -15minutes and the battery was slowly losing voltage and it shut off, and after that nothing would come on. Ok, so bout 5 hrs later we pulled it out, hooked up jumper cables, cranked it up and it ran for about 5 minutes shooting water out the tail pipe and smoking, trhen it started choking out and died, towed it home and so far i know it has oil in the transmission, oil, and the spark plugs were fowled out. insurance appraiser is coming in the morning to check out the damage. my question is say they total it out...what kinda probs might i be looking At and would it be a good idea to buy it back from them

I just bought a 97 Pontiac Grand Prix SE. I noticed that it's been gettin a little warmer then usual so I checked the radiator and reservoir and noticed the radiator was a bit low and reservoir empty... I topped em off with 50/50 and went along my way. A couple days later my heater wasn't heating up so I immediately looked at my temp gauge and noticed the engine was fairly hot. I pulled into a lot and put fluid into the radiator which pretty well used up the rest of the fluid I had left. So that was yesterday, today I checked my reservoir and radiator and noticed the reservoir was bone dry and the radiator low again... WTF I thought so I checked under my car where it was parked and there was no fluid on the ground. So after some cussing I just started checking my other fluids and when I got to the oil I noticed it looked a bit odd - it looks like radiator fluid got into the oil... What caused this and can I repair it myself? Also, should I stop driving to avoid major damage?

I like my AWD Vibe, except for the fact that it doesn't have heated seats and I live in a cold state. Heated seats were not an option on the Pontiac Vibe. Is it possible to have heated seats added anyway, as an after-market add on? About how much will it cost? Who does this kind of work?

I have been looking for a new car and I really like the olds intrigue but the grand am is a cheaper price and has less miles, they are both V6 4 door. I was just wondering which would be the better car in general like as far as the body engine eletrical, etc.

I had 1995 grandam for years and had good luck with it even after it had 130,000 miles on it. I traded it in for an 01 and have had nothing but trouble. I have put quite a lot of money into it.

I replaced my 97 Olds Cutlass with a 98 Cutlass after the 97 was totalled in a wreck. I

I kept the key fobs, and I wondered if I could program them myself, or if I need go to the dealership and pay them to do it.

It would be nice to have a couple extra key fobs, just in case.

Thanks for the help
