i had a studio 500 on 2 12" earthquake magmas and was hitting 146db with the gains off im now looking to buy the rockford fosgate T1500-1bd and was wondering if that is an equal or better amp? im looking for the same kind of power or a little more what would the T1500-1bd be like on 2 12" type r's would that hit hard like my old system??

wouldn't i need to get my alt beefed up? or would just a red cap gel do the job? i'm looking to installing 2 diamond d6 subs, and 1000 to 1500 mono amp on them a bass cap and a amp for the highs. So what you u recommend for power thanks.

My 98 honda doesn't play fake cd's.. and if it does it takes forever to read them and then you better not skip a track cuz it starts reading it all over again!!!

Anyone else run into this problem??? And I don't really wanna buy a new cd player.. they get stolen more easily.

What brand of blank CD's should I buy that might work for my factory player???

I have a Sony XPLOD Head Unit. It has EQ presets such as "XPLOD" "Gravity" and "Cruise." So it does not necessarily a "Rock" setting. I can create a custom EQ with Low, Mid, and Hi from -10 to +10. Whatever i try i cannot get it to sound good. Any hints? I know Low is bass, but i have no idea how it should be configured with all 3.

I recently had my car in the shop for an engine rebuild. $3000 later, when my car was returned to me, the radio is not working properly (it was working just fine when it went in). The sound is very low and very static-y. They told me that the amplifier probably "went bad" and that since they didn't work on it they can't do anything about fixing it. I know that the technician drove the car around after the rebuild. If he had the music on loud, could that screw up the amplifier? Also, could it be the speakers instead?

I've just purchased a 97 chevy z-24. I want to replace the factory speakers, either both the front and back, or just one or the other. I realize i'll probably need an amp, but what i'd like is advice on what I should chose. Im going for louder, more clear sound. Id like to keep the budget around $300-400. I just bought a 1994 Honda Accord EX sedan. It has a 6 cd disc changer in the trunk but only a radio and cassette in the car itself. Is there a way that I can add a cd player and still have the cd changer operable? There is a space below the radio in the car that I think a cd player could fit, look at the picture and let me know. Thanks a bunch!!!

Hey, I have a 97 Camry, I got it used, I just realized the that entire right side of the cars sound does not work both front and back speakers...What do you think could be the problem, There not blown out I don't think because no sound at all comes from them, maybe the wiring into the head unit? This factory receiver is 160watts and has four 6.5 speakers & 2 tweeters. I do not like the sound. I want to keep the factory head/receiver. I was considering replacing the 4 factory speakers (not-the tweeters). Adding an amplifier is also an option, but i don't really want to deal with the hassel of that. What should I do to make it sound decent?

If I had an mono block amp that pushes 500 watts at 2 ohms and I wired a dual four ohm sub in parralell would each coil be getting 500 watts or would the wattage split to 250 watts per coil?

I am about to start the project of fiberglassing my trunk lid.;.. I am putting a mirror in the middle and going to add 6x9's on the sides.... For 6x9's are you supposed to have an actual enclosure size or does it matter? I plan on just throwin them in there.. Im not going for superior sound quality, they are mainly there for looks and a little something with the subs i have. So will this work, or will i need an enclosure to really get it to work.

I have 2 12's kicker compvr subs and I want to buy the Kicker box for them. I'm wondering if anyone know where I can buy the exact box for the subs. Not a custom box, I want the Kicker Brand Box.
