Although I can't really afford to have one constructed, it would be nice to have them in case my ship came in (please pardon the pun).

Have been doing some high-level searching and found very little free info on the subject. Looking for advice and/or thoughts and opinion on length and design of a liveaboard bluewater cruiser capable of circumnavigation. Crew of two. Up to four passengers. Thanks!

Hi. I have a 2003 sea doo jet boat. just before the season closed, I took the boat on a river (fox river in IL). I didn't know how shallow it is, but there were other boats on it. Then it became really shollow, and I was going like 20-30 mph, and suddenly i stopped. I got out and the water was below my knee. Now I'm scared that I damaged the impeller since it collected everything on the waterbed. It started fine, but I scrached the boat pretty bad. Also the intake is grill is kinda twisted and scratched. But still don't know if the impeller is damaged. I took it the next weekend on the lake (lake michigan) and worked fine, perfectly, I was able to reach speeds of 50 mph. But before It used to go a little faster, above 55. Now i'm waiting for the season to open, so I can see if it works fine. But if its damaged, how much does it typically cost to fix it, at the sea doo dealer. Thanks a lot

For different types/sizes/classes of ships, do they have weather ratings? That is, given a certain ship is there a qualitative or quantitative measure of what level of sea state it can handle?

If so, where can I obtain such information?

I bought this used. The motor cranked and ran, rough. While adjusting the idle, it died and would not crank at original settings. While turning the engine it pops through the carb and studders while turning ( hesitates ). 1983 Chris Craft, 3.0 liter Chevy 4 cylinder.

I have a ghost captain haunting my ship. It's an old whaling ship, so I think he came with it. Or maybe I picked him up somewhere, but that doesn't seem likely. Help!

I have a 30 ft. Searay Express and it needs a name.
We spend a lot of time on it in the Chesapeake Bay area. We do a lot of beer drinking and thought of incorporating that into the name. We want something very original - any ideas?
