I don't mean - "go to your muster station" ... i am wondering, say that you are on the ship and have free reign, should you try to be as high up as possible or on the side of the ship away from the direction the boat is tilting, etc. How to best escape ...?

they are small... i think they blow up... but they have a little motor on the back. people use them to go out to their big boats that are in the middle of the water.

I have a sailing boat and I tried several painting cycles, it seems to be good for the shaft but not for the propeller because the antifouling was removed after few months the boat had been in the water.

On pictures and in video, I always seem to see water flowing back into the sea, or lake, or whatever on large ships. Where does this water come from? Is it leaking through the hull? Was it used to cool the engine? Recently I saw a old, fully rigged ship photo, (wikipedia: ship) and the ship portrays an old ship, I'm sure before mechanical pumps, and there is water squirting out the side. When the tourist ship sank recenlty in Greece, there was water shooting out of the hull in those photos too, but half the ship was under water.

I have an 18 foot v hull cuddy in the back yard and I have a rotating mast/sail/rigging in the shed. What would I need to consider to make the cuddy into a sailboat?

I have a pintle style rudder/tiller designed for a smaller boat, but I think it would work.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

I am putting together a website that deals with a ficticious sailboat company.Since I know nothing about the subject matter, is there a good website I can go to where I can learn about sailboats (no motors; just boats with sails). Just an FYI, this ficticious company will be selling various types of sailboats. Thanks much!
