Makes sure about the material used in the color scheme. If the boat is fiberglass, the colors might be in the fiberglass gel coat itself.
If it's just old paint, talk to your local boat repair shop and inquire about the painting process, and types of paint to use.

I would paint it light blue . But only you know what colors you like.

Why would you need to repaint a new boat?
Paint it whatever colors you like - not what someone else likes.

If your boat is fiberglass it has (gel coat) this is the only paint that will stay on a fiberglass boat'.(you will not be able to paint gel coat)

i just did mine in metallic tangerine with red stripes on top
with a white bottom.. it looks great!
