Hello all
I have just purchased a 12' jon boat with a 15hp motor and trailer from a friend.. The boat was gave to him by one of his friends that didnt have the title but was the original owner. No one has been able to contact the first owner at all.
How should I navigate in getting this thing titled or legal forthe water? Also do I need a title on the moter and trailer as well?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It seems you have had some experience with this matter.

Thank you

Tom

A good friend of mine just bought a new boat and I wanted to give him a little something for good luck. Like when you get a new car people throw loose change in it, etc. So any ideas that would work would be helpful. Thanks!

I'm selling a boat to someone from Canada and I want to make sure everything goes smoothly. I own the boat and trailer outright and can sign it over on this end but what will the buyer need to have/do to get it over to the Canadian side?

A power boat about 35-50 feet long

It is called a mud boat. They were made long ago, mostly out of wood and used in the marshes of Louisiana. The engine had a shaft that went through a stuffing box, and on the end of the shaft, under the boat, was a propeller.

What is the name of the type of boat used in swampy areas, like Louisiana, that has the large fan attached to the back. There was one in the movie "Waterboy." I NEED to know! NOW!!!!

Does anyone know who does, or where I can get a replacement carb conversion for my Mercruiser mercarb 2BBL in the UK.
Being an American carb it pumps fuel in like Niagra falls and with todays fuel prices approaching £5 a gallon (close to $10.00 per gallon in case our US cousins are unaware of just how greedy the UK government is), I need to get more than 4 -5 mpg out of her to keep the costs within my comfort zone.
Absolute top end not important, river speed limits (6mph) and midrange punch to get on plane quickly are more important.

Weber do not list one.

Thanks in advance

I bought some Quicksilver Power Tune. The directions say that you should spray it directly into the carbs with the motor running. Here's the dumb part of the question. Where are my carbs? Seriously. I have pulled the cowling off and looked, but I am not seeing what I would expect. It's a 1990 Mercury 115 hp 2 stroke, 4 cyl motor. I think that they are on the port side of the motor, but I am unfamiliar with the engine. Do I need to remove something else to be able to see the carbs and spray the Power tune into them?

I can't find any specific info online as to what size/amps would be best for my particular application. The battery would only be used to power the 12v trolling motor for several hours at a time.

I suppose they put antennas on top, and scouting pods near the top. But why do they have more than one? And why are they so massive in some ships? Certainly not using them for sails!

I bought a houseboat that had sat for several years unattended and there was waste in the holding tank. This holding tank is metal. Since the day we bought it, this tank has an odor when the head is flushed. We have tried numerous chemicals to rid the tank of it's smell. Does any one have any suggestions, how to get rid of this smell?

I have a Mercury 125hp outboard saltwater motor on my boat. I went to use the boat yesterday for the first time in a few weeks. The motor started up with out a problem, but once I got out of the canal and went to accellerate, the boat did not pick up speed and plan off.

Any help on what might cause this would be appreciated.
