Its an old model. The block is by GM. 4 cylinders. Mercruiser does not support this model anymore.
What GM car parts can I use as replacement and what complete car / boat engine can I fit to the existing sterndrive?
Anyone out there faced with this same problem?

back to the bilge pump, when i replace it i'm thinking about upgrading from 500 gph (draws 1.5 amps) to 750 gph (draws 2.8 amps). i don't want to overload my system. how do i know if this will not draw too much electricity? i have a 17' bayliner capri, with a 12 v battery in the aft area. thanks

In about 4 months, I am taking a trip where i'll need to be on a fairly large boat in the Pacific for an hour and a half. A friend told me (he's been on that boat and to the same destination) it is ROUGH. I get violently sick on boats and am VERRRY scared. I can't WAIT for the trip but the boat ride alone almost turned me away from going. I'm going to take Bonine, but I don't fully trust it. Does anyone have any experience with it? Does it actually work? If I take it, do you think i'll get sick?? All your help counts and I really appreciate it. Thanks a ton!!

I want to build a 4.8 metre bay fishing boat. I have quotes for an alloy kit but this requires specialist skill in welding. I am also looking at a timber boat with epoxy or bote cote exterior. Which do you think is better? The waters in Port Phillip Bay are treacherous so the craft in question needs to be able to high tail it when necessary.

I am going to build a 3.8m dingy sail boat. It will be of plywood construction. the only dilemma i have is how i am going to transport it to the sea... I have a VW Polo and was wondering if a roof rack would do the job or if the boat would simply be too long? are there any laws restricting length of carried objects, etc. I dont have a trailer licence so would rather not get one of these as it maybe an expensive option! Any ideas or suggestions welcome. Cheers

on a large cruise ship there are some radar screens passengers can look at and see islands / progress that the ship is sailing .

why technology is used to avoid collision with other boats in sea ? and to avoid hitting subs. the airtraffic controllers watch over the height planes fly .. but who regulates the ocean ? navigates the paths the ships sail ?

i have 4 lights on my boat.2 in the front of boat and 2 in the back.both front are connected to one wire.same with the back. so now theres one wire connecting all lights.im wonting to put a on/fss switch in.the switch has to connectors in the back of it.im guessing one positive one negative.but doesnt say postive are neg on it.i connected the light wire to one connector and ran a wire from there two the positive on battery.i took a wire for the ground are negative and connected one in to the boat and the other to the other connector on back of the on/off switch.then ran a wire from it to the negative on battery.when i touch the negative to battery i get a big spark.when i turn the switch off and connect it to the negative the lights come on.what am i doing wrong here.just trying to take the lights and connect them to a on off switch so i dont have to keep rigging the wires to the battery.i had it working when i had the switch in a diffent spot but dont remmber how it was set up.??

For my course i have to do this. I cannot buy parts for the model boat which are spefically designed for model boats for exampel moters. What the best way to get the boat across the pond?
I thought maybe using sails or even possibly rocket fuel or something.
Any tips would be gratefull.
Thanks
