So I am working on getting my money back, to do so I have to prove that this company could not have worked on a case with the IRS like they have claimed to have done. The company has taken $1800.00 from me. I contacted www.taxcarepros.com on the web seeking assistance with dealing with the IRS about my past tax debt. Long story short, I handled my problem with the IRS on my own by arranging a payment plan. TaxCare Professionals at no point in time got my SS#, my W2's, a signed Power of Attorney, or a signature on thier "Payment Agreement" form. I tried contacting TaxCare until I was blue in the face about canceling whatever they had started (because they had already taken money from my account). It wasn't until a month later when they took another $900 from me that they finally spoke with me and told me it was just tough luck. I have proof of me dealing with the IRS on my own (a letter from the IRS). Could they have worked on a case without my pertinant info? please help my kids a xmas

Should I 1099 him? but I need to protect myself.

I can probably pay them by the end of January or February, but I just don't have the money by the end of the year. We just bought our house last summer and have not had enough time to build up enough money in our tax account to pay the bill. What will happen if we don't pay it by the end of the year?

Seems like every day I read again about a future budget over-run for the fed, for the states, even in my town saying they blew the plowing budget for the year after the first storm.

Today Yahoo has an article about how most states are not setting nearly enough to fund employee retirement promises. We are going into deep over-runs due to our wars - on Iraq, on Afganistan, on Drugs, on Poverty, etc.

I am not saying we should stop funding, but every year, every day, we add a little more debt, raise taxes a little more.

At what point will we hit an economic limit to make this not viable.

I am not saying get rid of taxes like the "nut of the day". I am asking what is our financial limit, because we seem to working towards it?

Another way to put it - if we are taxed at a net rate of about 50% now (argue that if you want, it is not my point) and people say times are "tough", what happens when we need to raise it to 55% or 60% or 70% to cover all this stuff?

It's 2007 (very nearly 2008). It's been around for over 20 years. Could it be that it would mean correspondence could be tracked and logged and there could be no excuses for incompetence and delay? I was asked to FAX something yesterday. It's a joke.

The house had been rented for the previous 4 years, but with the market having changed, we have not been able to get the property rented. I am confused when reading the IRS publications. If there is a tax expert that can direct me to the correct information, it would be greatly appreciated.
