I am curious about how sales tax works. If I purchase an item from city A and return it in city B, which city gets the sales tax? Does this mean that the tax revenue goes to city A and city B loses the revenue from the return?

I have a friend who went to have his taxes done and apparently forged his wifes signature. When the wife found out she went to where he had his taxes done and received half of the money. Now she is threatening to call the IRS and report him for having forged her signature. With her receiving half of the money, does she still have a case?

I recently divorced after 18 years and it was finalised in Dec. 2006. I only worked 2 days as a fill in for a doctors office. My ex is retired but we owned our own business. I did not get a salary from that. Where should I start with income tax? I've never had to deal with this before and don't know what to expect, where to go to. Any advise?

I live in San Diego and I'm considering submitting an 'Application for Review of Assessment' of my property taxes. Should I submit comparibles based on the exact same square footage house in my neighborhood, or consider using larger homes where the average price per square foot is much lower?

I got papers early this year. It said I need to pay taxes I owed from 04. I had all my paper work and went to the IRS office. He sent them letters saying that I did infact pay 04's taxes. I also have a copy of said letters. Now I got a letter sayinig I still owe em from 04. I have gone through this this year alone 2 times. What should I do? This is the third time, they still want money. Should I just pay it so they stop? Also I have to pay child support are there any deductions or any thing i can claim as a single father?

Apparently the government are trying to introduce a tracking device to all cars so that we may be taxed for our monthly mileage. The trackers cost around £200 (that you will have to buy) and you will get a monthly bill based on your mileage. Also with your whereabouts being tracked at all times, if you go over the speed limit expect a speeding fine with your monthly bill. To stop this please put the following web page into your address bar and sign the online petition. Thank You
