I know the clothes that are used on a daily basis cannot be used as a tax write off, but could a tux be used as one since it is used primarily for professional purposes.

I opened a home daycare this year. I will have only worked 2 days this year (28th and 31st of December) since I have opened (December 26th). How do I claim my expenses this year? I have not yet been paid, so I have no income to claim only expenses.

I had to move from one state to another. I have been trying to sell my old house for about a year. Finally I am going to have to do a short sell (I have a couple offers to pay less than what I owe on the home). I should probably get some money back on my tax returns and would like to use it to pay off the large credit card balances I have acquired over this period of time. Can the mortgage company seize any returns I may get because I am having to do a short sell?

Me and my husband want to buy an apartment or house in miami. We have a budget of 200,000. But i'm trying to factor in property tax and i'm confused.

So if we buy a 200K flat, we get taxed on the 200K. But if miami prices go up the following year and my flat is worth 300K, do I have to pay taxes on 300K. What if I can't afford it? Do I loose my house to the government tho I can totally afford the mortgage.

Does the tax bill change every year??? That can't be right. how do you keep track of your money if you haven't a clue what your tax bills are.

I recently got my paycheck and checked the hrs. I knew I was going to have at least 1 hr of overtime. The printed timesheet that we sign said 77.45hrs. Thats not including 4hrs vacation time for half day of work.... Today recieved my check and the hrs were
75.45hrs + 0.22OT hrs + 4.00hrs holiday = 80.07 Gross Pay
Add them up and its..79.67hrs

Clerical error or adjusted. Im going to copy my timesheet on the next paycheck to verify my next one with OT. I will have a few hrs OT for sure.

I'm kind of new to this, I opened an account with scottrade to buy/sell stocks. I deposited $225 and kind of left it there for now. I just got a voicemail from scottrade saying that I've selected on my application that I want to backup holdings from the IRS and he said I need to contact him and let him know that I've done that or they might need to take taxes out. What does this mean?
