It depends on how much she makes.

If she didn't have a tax liability for the previous year and she does not anticipate have a liability for the current year, she can claim "Exempt".

Assuming that you will claim her as a dependent, if she is going to make over $5000 for the year, she should NOT claim exempt. If she does, she will be writing a couple of checks next year.
