For VAT reason, I would like to have a safe and why not a postal box in Guernsey (or Jersey, but I prefer Guernsey).

I am an individual residing in India and working from home. I am working for a US based company which has no presence in India. Should I work as Employee or Consultant? Which is best and legal? I will also be given Stock Options. As a consultant can I have stock options? What are the different taxes that I or the company have to pay and what about TDS?

DO I just complete the returns and send them all at once? What if I find that I OWE tax on all years, I know I will have to pay interest and stuff, can I combine my tax bill from all years and pay per month? I am not sure if I will owe or not. What is the amount of income you have to make to be required to file? Also, if you are a full time student w/ no job do you still have to file?

Hello

I'm trying to figure out what I can do, to best reduce my taxes.

Here's my situation:

- I'm in the process of buying a home. From what I know, I can write off the taxes paid on the property and also interest paid on mortgage.
- My wife is pregnant.
- My wife has her own business where she works part-time. She'll probably bring in an income of $15-20k for 2007. Anyway I can claim her as an dependent? How about the baby in the womb? :)

Tax info:
State: NJ
My Income: 80k-85k
Wife's Income: 15-20k

I'm pretty ignorant as to what to do, to best reduce my taxes. If anyone can shed some light, I'd appreciate it.

First off, I'm trying to help this old lady about mid 50ish that lives close to me. Well this is kind of confusing so I'm here. She is a Homecare provider for her husband and not too long ago her husband pass away. She ask me(19year old) to see if she can get unemployment but from what I know, you have to get fire form a job. So can she still get unemployment in this case and also how would I go about to apply for unemployment for her. I heard something about ett or edd that help but I'm not sure if (ett or edd) ---(something I heard) is what I need to check out. I'm in California so please help me out.

If there is website to do this, can you please help put it down?

My husband and I filed a joint return...however someone in a different state(just so happens to be the same state as my husbands ex wife) used my husbands name, birthdate and social security number and filed a return fradulantly. Because this thief got the return in ahead of us he was able to have the return depostited directly into his accouont. It has been several months since I filed and I still do not have an answer as to when I will get my return. In fact I am treated like a criminal whenever I call for a status. My local congressman also has an inquiry submitted with the tax payers advocate office(thats a joke ). I am just wondering if anyone can give me and info on how to expedite this process. I need this money ...I am owed this money and if it were the other way around you can bet I would be being billed interest. Any ideas please help.

I'm thinking the IRS will tax all of the growth ($43,000), as ordinary income. So if I do a 1035 tax-free exchange of $43,000 to another tax sheltered annuity and a withdraw of the remaining $100,000, I should pay no taxes at that immediate time? Sound right? Thanks for any tips.

I'm starting my web design business, but don't know how to get a tax id number or what forms to fill out or anything. I am the only person working, no employees or anything, just me! Does that effect how I need to file or whatever? I have no idea what to do.

I build web pages for individuals and small businesses.

Please someone tell me what I need to do.

Hello there, I currently have some mututal funds that I would like to redeem inspite the fact that the money I have in the funds are far less than the money that I have put in. I estimated the loss would be around $5K - $6K. I just thought to take it out to put it in better use.
My question is, can I claim the loss on my tax return? I currently don't own a house but am in the process of building one, which should be completed before the year end.
Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks!

Now they have something called tax exemption. I dont know what to do now and I still need the printer. Any advice?

What if someone didn't file their taxes for a few years and most of the time they wouldn't owe anything and some of the years they owed a little bit? And they hired a company called NADA and paid them a few thousand dollars and the company kept acting like they were helping but in the end kept acting like all the paperwork was lost and to keep resending it. Then the person hired a tax accountant who worked with them for a while and then the person started having their wages garnished and the tax professional won't answer the phone calls. Can the person get the amount owed reduced? They can't buy afford to buy groceries? Is there interest and penalities accruing on the amount owed even if wages are garnished? How can you sue NADA and/or the tax professional? If the person is married but the spouse owned their home previously, can the home be taken?

Ok, another big shocker to me from Florida, is they charge you for garbage pickup which is called a refuse charge from $13.50 to $18 plus extra charges for special pick-ups such as appliances, yard waste. Back home, they don't charge you for garbage collection! Why do these states do this? How are they run?

Ok this is my problem I am wanting to file for finacial aid for fall semester and my mother will not give me her fedral forms so I can complete the financial aid application she always says that they should not need my tax forms because I do not live with her and that I am an adult. So I call the financial aid office at my local community college and had them explain why they need her taxes. So after they explained to her why I then preceeded to ask her my I please have your tax forms so I can complete my financial aid application and she said well you dont even have a job to support you, remember college doesn't start until August, and I know I will find a job by then. Then she was like why don't you get a job before completing the application and I try to explain to her that you have to file in advance in order to ensure that everything will be completed before the semester starts. So she didn't want to hear that and started to say leave me alone and quit borthering me about it.

While our home owner and business taxes skyrocketing why do we still allow churches to not have to pay property taxes?
Time to wake up and treat a church like any other business.
Stop being brainwashed, I promise you will not go to the devil.
