my boyfriend has 4 children with his ex, he pays her 200.00 a month, but this has never been court ordered, she however doesnt let him carry 2 of the kids on his taxes, she carries 2 and lets her parents carry 2, my question is this, he is the father, shouldnt he get to claim 2 kids since he gives her money monthly for their care, and can he file the monthly support on his taxes sort of like a deduction even if he doesnt carry the kids? we are from texas if that matters any....

We own ten rental units (mobile homes) and charge X amount in rent, but then we ourselves pay 145 dollars to the owner of the mobile home park for lot rent. Can we use this as a deduction on our income tax return?

I have several trips which I have completely kept driving miles records for in 2006. My online tax software isn't very clear on where I can claim these miles on my Schedule C so I am wondering specifically where I can claim the miles and/or the deduction for the miles.

At the time Fidelity told us that if he did not take a distribution on the after tax money, he would need to file a form 8606 every year with our tax return. This was done in May of 2006. Turbo tax did not prepare the 8606. Do we need to file this form in the year of the rollover or not until the next year. Turbo Tax support does not have an answer. We are both over 65 and retired.

I do cleaning for an elderly lady. She ran an add in the local paper. I have worked for her for over a year (here and there...not steady, daily or even weekly...more on a as needed basis) Well after a year she now wanted me to fill out a w-9. Will this screw my taxes up as I already work for 2 businesses that are w-9. Should I up my cleaning rates to compensate for what I may have to pay at the end of the yr. ? How should I handle this situation. I have to supply her with my SS# today. Any advice on this matter is greatly appreciated. Also if she provides this W-9 does she have to supply me with workmans comp. or unemployment or anything in general?

Rather than relying on taxes, communities should be directly responsible for raising any required funds to pay for all extracurricular public school activities, including after-school sports.

I'm looking for a tax form that should say Rent on it and the current year to get tax credit for rent. The library doesnt have the form printed out, their sign said to check online. I'm looking for the form for renting for personal use, it says Rent and the year in the heading. Not the forms for business rentals. Does anyone know where to find this online? Can you send me the link? I live in Wisconsin, don't know if this is the same as property tax refund or homestead credits.

I have collectively held the Equity Shares of different Companies in question, for between seven to niniteen years.

Some of the shares are bonus issues and some are debentures converted into Equity Shares.

I sincerely hope that these additional details will help you provide me elaborate details on the structure of taxations.

Thanks and best regards.
