For a salaried individual, is IDBI "Suvidha tax saving deposit" a good bet? They are offering 8.75% interest, 9% for Senior Citizens. Lonk-in period is 5 years.

I do not have a good idea about the credibility of IDBI bank. Will my money remain safe and secured and will I get the sum assured irrespective of the market situations 5 years later on? The IDBI people assures me. But I seek honest opinions from you.

Do you send in a 1040 and attach a schedule c? I hear you have to file schedule c every 3 months. So, do you send it with a 1040, or do you just send in a schedule c, or do you send all 4 of them at the beginning of next year with the 1040? Or none of the above?

I know you can claim on your taxes:your doctor's co-payment, gas, school, books, and I've even heard you can claim anything that has been bought for your pet such as food, or vet expenses. But can you claim in your taxes a repair that was done to your car. My car is leased and it has a few dents that need to be fixed. I was thinking of putting in on my credit card since I dont have the money and keeping the receipt. And then when I do my taxes claim it and get the money back to pay my credit card. Can that be done?
