In a moment of weakness, I cosigned on a loan with a friend. She has since moved away and ran into some financial hurdles, I guess. Long story short, she supposedly has a job now, and an apartment, but it's been 8 months now and I have been paying off the loan when it wasn't even mine to begin with(it was for here school). Should I get a bank loan and cover it all myself and leave her out of it or is there another way I can get her to pay>? I was thinking of driving out to Wisconsin myself and showing up on her dorrstep, demanding the money!! Help me before I do that!!!

It's so annoying!

I hate getting emails all the time from people telling me to stop writting the at some email address because they are getting another one. Some people change their email address like 6 times per year.
I've had the same email address for the last 12 years.

I also hate it when people are constantly telling they have new cell phone number.
I've had several cell phones in the last few years, but I've made sure to keep my number the same for the last 7 years.

I don't get it! Today an email address is as important to get ahold of as home address to receive important information from work, bank and legal stuff. Why do people change it so much?

Today, most jobs, customers, and people will try reaching you by calling your cell phone before calling your house. Why do people change their numbers so much?

When I look up what age you can start withdrawing from your 401(k), I find the answer "59 1/2 or separate from service." I understand what age 59 1/2 means, but what exactly is "separate from service?"

Does this mean I can receive money from my 401(k) at any age as long as I am quit working?

They claim to help anyone who needs a cash loan whether bad credit, low income, or job status. they also have a $35.00 processing fee. I am pretty much at my wits end in finding a company to loan to me b/c of my bad credit, so i sent in the application w/the fee. now i'm second guessing my actions. so has anyone else dealt with them, if so, what was the outcome?

I have a gift card given to me last year, I have not used it, Visa has the money, which I am sure that they have invested, and the are charging me fees to hold & use my money. My card has lost half of its value. I have repeatedly contacted them for my funds, they promise & promise but I am yet to see any of my funds returned. Is there any merit to a class action lawsuit against these gift card companies? How should I proceed? I have thought about corresponding with AARP since I'm a retired person living on my pension. Help!!!

I am married with no kids and have life insurance and have retirement plan benefits. I want to know for sure that if anything were to happen to me my wife would be fine financially. Is the personal debt that is only in my name such as remaining school loans or credit cards something that becomes an uncollectable debt or is that something transfers over to my wife? I would think that since it is only in my name she would not be responsible for them and they could not collect on the debt since I legally have no possessions or money since it is all immediately hers.
