I just finished doing my federal income taxes and although I don't want to disclose the amounts, it seems I owe about 50% in taxes on my extra income! I have a full-time job, taxes are fine on that. I'm talking about my bank account interest and my self employment income. After working extra on the weekends and madly saving for an entire year, it just stinks!

I canceled my True.com membership in April 2006. I just noticed on my statement for my credit card that I just was charged for the subscription fee again (good thing I learned to use online banking or I wouldn't have caught it. I am away at school and my statements are mailed to my house a few hours away.
I called the company to ask why I was suddenly being charged so long after canceling my subscription. They informed me that they didn't know why I was being charged, but that I had been charged monthly for nearly a year despite my service having been canceled. In spite of this mistake they claim to be only able to refund me for the past 2 months, rather than the full amount of the unauthorized charges.
Is this legal? Because I feel like they scammed me and I'm not sure what to do. Has this happened to anyone else? Please help.

My Fiance has very bad credit and several thousand in unpaid medical
bills, from about 3 years ago, he also has unpaid cable, electric, phone
etc bill that are also unpaid from his college years. When we get
married can they come after me for his debts from before we were married,
they are actually; from before I ever knew him? We live in a house that I
currently own and it is in my name only.I have heard that if he takes
no action to pay these bills, the statue of limitations will run out and
they can no longer collect from him? We also both have student loans,
that are currently up to date. If one of us should die, could the other
have to pay back student loans that were not theirs? "

My current bank has had some computer problems quite a bit lately... It's so embarrassing to go out and order a meal and know I have $600 in the bank but have it come back declined. It has happened several times and they always appologize, but I have come to the point that I HAVE to get a new account to save my sanity!

I think a little while back I saw ads on TV for FREE Checking with INTEREST and I believe it was at compass but I'm not sure. I know I definitely dont want to pay a fee... So which banks do you think would be the best options? Thanks!

I rolled over my 401k to my previous employers plan in Jan of this year. I left that company this month and now want to rollover that money again to my new employer. I know that some IRAs have a limit of "one" rollover per year. Does this apply to 401ks as well?
