I'm cleaning my files cabinet and I need to know what should I keep and what can I throw away. Utilities bills?Pay stubs?Past year's insurance policies?Medical bills?Bank Statements? Credit card statments?Etc. I live in Massachusetts, if that makes a difference. Please help me!!!

normally you can delete everything that's inside of your /home/yourprofile folder.

In Linux you cannot delete files that you do not own.

I think I read one time , that 5yrs back is the average to keep old records !!
