I've been having emails asking me to take surveys to get paid or get prizes, ever heard of that or is it just another trick?

I'm pretty sure 7 years is as far as they (IRS) can go back for audits. Seems that everything older than that can go to the shredder. Are there exceptions I should know about?

I pay my bills online, but I still like to receive paper bills to remind me to pay because email notification isn't foolproof. This means I have no cancelled checks. As for my credit card and bank staments, I can print copies of the last six months online. So, should I save them at all, or just shred them after I know they have received payment?

thanks

Does anyone know what the average time it takes for a bankruptcy to be discharged in the State of KY/Bullitt County. Ky is a commonthwealth and therefore does not nessasarily follow other states in various forms of law.

I am not the one in question nor do I reside in the state of KY

I mean I know you can deduct the interest. What I don't understand is when you get your tax refund, will this just be a percentage of the refund or will you see the money come back dollar for dollar that you can then use to make a bulk payment on the loan?

I want to start an account for my nieces that I can contribute to on birthdays and holidays. Would Treasury bonds be good? What else? I need a better interest rate than a savings account provides.

For example, if I take out a loan for $20,000, at an interest rate of 7.00% and want to pay it off in 4 years ... how do I calculate my monthly payment? (is their an equation / method used?)

Thanks!

How can you manage your financial affairs (bills, etc.) without having a bank account? I'm sick of the fees! I hate relying on a bank. Is there anyone out there that functions without a checking account?

I understand that Fidelity is the parent co. over Hartford Life. However, Hartford Life will not allow me to take $$$ out unless I do the Hardship Withdrawal. Well, my work controls that because the paperwork has to be approved by my Plan Admin. the CEO! Really trying to to embarrass myself here with my job, you know. My IRA i have with Fidelity will allow me to take my own money out, at least a certain percentage. Do you know if theres anyway I can do this thu Fidelity to access my Hartford Life money?

Ok, a couple of years ago I had a checking account and overdrew it a few times. For this I was reported to chexsystems. I was young and stupid. I paid it off but it is still negative regardless of whether you pay it off or not for 5 years. I just got a new bank account thru a bank that decided to give me a second chance. Last week I went to the store to get a few things and when it came time to pay I couldn’t find my debit card so I wrote a check. My check got denied??? I had sufficient funds in the bank for the purchase so I just don’t understand. Luckily I found my debit card(which worked fine) and could still pay for my purchases. Chexsystems states that they do not deny you a checking account that their information is only a tool for banks to use in making a decision about whether to give you a bank account or not. If this is the case then I don’t understand why since my bank gave me the checking account, that my checks are being denied. It just doesn’t seem fair. I paid off what I owed and I think I deserve a second chance. Does this mean I’m only going to be able to use my debit card for the next couple of years until the negative is off my account? Ridiculous!!!!

Alright, here is what is going on. My mom has had a loan from an "undisclosed" lending company for almost 10 years. She should've had it paid off by now BUT everytime she pays them, they take out more interest then principal. For example: her last bill from them was $205... $200 for interest and $5 for principal. As much as this pisses me off cause it doesn't sound right... is there a law or something that should be preventing this or whatever?

Something doesn't sound right, I always thought it was principal BEFORE interest. Meaning they should be taking out prinicipal and then 25% interest out of each payment.

Somebody please help me.

Hi I m jyoti lal gaihre. I have won the lottery of Australian International Lottery Programme. It is claimed that my winning prize is deposited in Equity Bank Of Nigeria. Now the bank has asked for US$270 for official expendature. I m an ordinary man I don't have that amount of money. In this situation what can I do to get my prize? On the other hand, I have doubt in the claims of Equity Bank Of Nigeria and Australian International Lottery Programme. Because I have seen many cases of cheating by through internet. If it is true can the official expendature not be deducted from my winning prize?
