When a collection agency (which serves as the "middle man" between a client and customer) arranges a payment plan for a customer of a credit card company, does it (the agency) make a profit from the payments received which are supposed to go directly to its client (the credit card company)?

I have never been late with my monthly mortgage payment, unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control I will be late this month. What will happen? Will there be a late fee charge? Will it affect my credit? And how and where do I pay it if it is late?

We put our trailer 6 ft. up as FEMA instructed because of flood land. We have lived here 16 months, our first flood was over 4 ft. last week, and neighbors say, that is a small flood. We need to find a grant to put the 1969 trailer on stilts and put a roof over the top. Our trailer is a single wide 2 bedroom. The floor is pressed wood and if the water reaches that, the floors will fall out. Our income at the moment is $1056.00 a month. We bought this land because it was all we could afford.

What happens to credit reports for people who return overseas ?

For three and a half decades Stateside, I made sure to keep my credit rating and record in the best possible shape, by paying all bills on time, and periodically checking the same credit report, even I hadn't used any credit to ward off fraud.

I then retired to my spouse's birth country in Asia due to low-cost and numerous family. To my surprise, a MAJOR Card Company with whom I had an account since mid-1970s, actually sent me a new card, even though I would not qualify for one because of the
relocation (I then send payment to Florida). I assume my credit score, and record continues.

Is my supposition correct ?

Anyone ?

I'm trying to complete ten credits for my university during the summer. A good deal has arisen where I can get that amount of credits for considerably less than one would normally pay. It also involves a trip abroad. I need to save up about $3000. I dont have much money to start with (i.e. less than $100) but I feel that just letting the money I do have sit around in my savings account will not generate as much as I need to pay for this endeavor. Please help!! I have no idea where to start!

Gee, I have not been on ebay in a while, but for the last 2 days, I bought 3 items. The first one I payed for immediately but something about paypal and an "echeck" of which I do not get? The money is in my account. The payment will not clear till Thursday. The guy was really nice about it.
The other 2 items I bought 'had' will accept paypal, money orders, personal checks...etc. As soon as I won the auction I told them I was paid on Wed--stick the money in the bank and pay them Thurs morn. I mean gee, How would u like to get nasty emails?
I am wondering if I should ever ebay again????
Any suggestions?

Ok- My FIL in KY filed BR and cliff notes version he is now going to walk away from a $280,000 property. MY DH and I own a mobile home on the property and he wants to relocte the home to a "lease to own" property and in two yrs be able to get a loan to buy the property and our home so that we are out from under the home since we have a "real home on real land" here in GA.

We have no intention of moving back to KY so I would love to be able to get rid of this thorn in my side of a home. Is it possible for him to even buy property 2 yrs after a BR? Any help/advise/personal experiences welcomed!

I am getting a divorce. The mortgage on my house is in my name only. The title is actually in both names. My soon to be Ex-Husband still lives here, he is refusing to pay the house payment. He wants them to foreclose on me. I want to sell the house and use the equity to pay off some debt. The total equity after selling the house would be about $60,000. We have a total of other assets of $50,000. The total assets we have are $110,000. The total debt owed is $44,000. The equity and debt are supposed to be split 50/50, so 50% of the total equity left would be $33,000. If I file bankruptcy would I be able to keep a portion of the 33,000 to hopefully have for deposits on a new home to rent, or such? My soon to be Ex-Husband would not be filing for bankruptcy. How would all this affect him?
