Gee, I have not been on ebay in a while, but for the last 2 days, I bought 3 items. The first one I payed for immediately but something about paypal and an "echeck" of which I do not get? The money is in my account. The payment will not clear till Thursday. The guy was really nice about it.
The other 2 items I bought 'had' will accept paypal, money orders, personal checks...etc. As soon as I won the auction I told them I was paid on Wed--stick the money in the bank and pay them Thurs morn. I mean gee, How would u like to get nasty emails?
I am wondering if I should ever ebay again????
Any suggestions?

I think some people made selling things on ebay a career, thus everything is so formal and confusing. It use to be very simple, black and white- now you dont know what the heck their talking about, not to mention way over charging for some shipping cost!!!

I havnt bought anything lately on ebay, there was actually one time I was short on money, and it took me a week to send them the payment, and they were really nice about it, even left me good feedback. There is no sense in someone sending hateful emails. Im not really sure what you mean by paypal and echeck, I do have a checking account, and have paid out of the account through paypal, and it is called an echeck. If you really like buying off of ebay, I wouldnt stop because of some rude people, just make sure you read all of the description, some people do specify that they want payment within 3 days , some immediately. Maybe you can even email them while the auction is still on, and ask them if they would give you a few extra days ( if you needed it) to pay for the auction if you were the winner.

Did you check the terms of the auction before you bid? A lot of them will say something like "payment expected within 3 days of auction's end". If yours said that, but then you said you wouldn't pay till Wednesday, then I think the seller has a right to be a little peeved.

However rude and nasty emails are never called for. This can be discussed civilly.

Check a sellers terms of sale to see when they require payment by. If you can not pay in that time frame, please don't bid. It may seem strange to you that the seller expects payment by a certain date, but the seller puts that information there for a reason. They may be selling items because they are in bad need of money quickly, maybe to pay rent or buy groceries. They may be selling an item that is hard for them to part with but they need quick cash. When you don't pay within their time frame can you see the situation you have now put them in? You perhaps outbid someone who would have paid quickly & now they dont have the money they needed on time .
