I'm a very hard working, honest mortgage broker for NC, MD and PA. But, there is a natural stigma against brokers. I understand there is always a "bad seed", which is the case in ANY field. Most times, a broker is the best option for a refinance, since we can shop MANY lenders guidelines to find the right loan. Whereas a lender only has their guidelines - you fit it or they turn you down. Please help me understand this, from your experience.

I got myself into quite a mess with payday loans a while back. Most of the places I have been able to set up payment plans, but one place said they could only take the money out of my bank account (which is frozen) anyway some guy from this place called and said I have till noon today to come up with $935 or it is going to be reported with fraud and Im going to jail. I dont know what to do. I'm 9 weeks pregnant and im not handling this well...juts kind of freaking out right now. I;m waiting for an attorney to contact me but I'm scared of what he will say. Just wondering if anyone knew anything about these things.

I had an arrangement with Capital One to pay the minimum charge whilst I was ill - they added every single charge to my account during this time. I have tried in vain to get some explanation from them but now I just get abusive threatening phone calls from them. So in effect I could not catch up with payments and extra charges. All other creditors were understanding and actively helped me. I know I have to pay something and have the address of their Head Office. Any advice please? I would be most grateful

I make about $35,000 a year. I can't decide on what percent I should contribute. I don't want to go too low, but I also want a decent paycheck.

Hello. I am currently being threatened by my bank of having my checking account closed due to an overdraft. When I became aware of this, I opened another account with a different bank before the Chexsystems thing went through. Now, my question is...since I've opened another account...will Chexsystems be able to close that account as well? Will my new account be threatened in any way?
Thanks.
