I received a DVD in the mail I did not order, with a letter stating that if I didnt want it, I had to repack it in the box it came in and affix the return shipping label and then put it back in the mail. Or I could keep it and pay for it' and I would start receiving more DVD's regularly. MY question is If I didn't order it and I dont send It back
am I obligated to pay for it.

If I cooperated with these telemarketers I would have refinanced my home 1,000 times by now, and I would have more TV dishes on my roof than shingles. I have told them to stop calling me but they just won't give up. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need 1000 gift card holders for work. The ones that we can order from the company that we order the cards from are .35 each. I'm looking for something cheaper. Any ideas? I'm not getting alot of good leads from Google.

My friend sent me a package from Germany. It was sent out on Nov. 30th and still has not reached me yet. She says that parcels take longer than the normal post, which usually gets to the US by 4-7 days.
Is there anyway to track this thing? Or does anyone know a rough estimate of how long it will take to get to me? She said the woman at her post office really didn't know... I just hope it's not lost in the mail!

My class ring is made of platinum and silver. The stone is a smooth cubic zarconia. It has my school mascot, name, school name, graduation year (2006), and icons that represents my interests. I paid $337 for it. I bought it in November 2005. I don't wear it anymore (i regret buying it). Is it possible to sell it or pawn it? I know no one out there has exactly the same things about them on the ring.

I heard something today that seemed to be indicitave of the fundamental change that has occured over the past 40 years or so in American business. A company was referring to it's employees as "Human Capital". The view that employees are simply resouces to be used and discarded, whatever will earn the most profit, seems to be prevalent today. 40 years ago I do not believe that this was the case. Today you have CEO's making 20 or 30 million dollars a year who will proceed to lay off 1,000 workers to save money. Walmart is trying to eliminate as many full time workers as they can and replace them with part time workers so that they won't have to provide any benefits.. and so they can make more money.
Is this simply the future of business or have we gone astray in valuing the almighty dollar ahead of real people?

we put a large amount of money down and he didn't think I had a copy of our purchase agreemet that he tried to change the terms when his loan changed. Any way according to the agreement we overpaid the monthly amount by what I thought was $86.00 a month, but I just remembered that he add $4000. tax bill onto the price and counted part of our monthly payment as a tax pmt. So after a year of payments he decided we were interest only. Now we had to browor the closing cost because he ended up having a pre payment penelty that we had to pay 1/2 of. So my questions are do I leave it up to him to do the right thing as far as making the funds correct because even after all that I still need to honor my word and pay him back Correct?

I am reviewing the documentation for an international software project. None of the three involved parties has native English speakers. These parties are: The firma which has ordered the software, the developing firma, and we as consultants.
In the documents we have produced, my colleague has called the ordering firma "the orderer", an analogy to the German "Auftraggeber". I have never encountered the term "orderer" in English before and I am afraid that it is to some extent incorrect and its use might introduce problems in our communication with the other parties. In most Wikipedia articles concerning software development the term "user" is used instead, but my colleague wouldn't use it. He is afraid that it might lead to the miosconception that the firma which orders the software (or its employees) and the people who use it (German: "Anwender") are the same (actually, the real users are the customers of this firma).
I would be glad if somebody could propose an exact term I may use.
