There was one person who suggested Invent Tech. They are a well known invention scam. Definitely stay away from them. For more information on invention scams and how to stay away see:

In terms of conducting your own patent search, there is a lot of information about how to do this online at:

Google has recently also unveiled a patent search engine, which looks excellent. One of the problems with the USPTO online database is that it only goes back to 1976. The Google patent search engine has all patents, including patent no. 1, so the database is exhaustive. Also, the USPTO site can be extremely slow. Google is lightening fast. Take a look at:

http://www.google.com/patents

Good luck with the search!

The best thing is to consult with a patent attorney. They have the knowledge and information you need.
Look in the Yellow Pages, or google "patent attorney".
If you are in the US, try: http://des.uspto.gov/OEDCI/
Good luck!
