drink water from the tap instead of buying soda and coffee and save that money. Clip cupons and go to the store on double cupon day and save that money. Walk as often as you can istead of using gas. Collect change and put all of this money in an interest bearing account.

Keep track of everything, and I mean everything, you spend money on. Buy an accounting pad with debit and credit columns and write down all income and expenses. Or get a program to do this on the computer.

After you figure out what you're spending your money on start cutting back on the non-essentials. You'll be surprised how you're getting nickel and dimed to death. Financial Wisdom has it that you should pay yourself first then pay everyone and everything else. Cut back wherever u see fit.

If a part-time job is out of the question then put as much or as little aside - EVERY PAYDAY - in a savings account or open up a retirement account. Nobody ever told me the time-value of money when I was younger and this is the biggest thing I stress to my kids - start saving money early and often.

Good luck and I hope u stick with it!

by sav"E" all the coin you got. save all the change you get, put it into a big jar that is not clear that way you will have no desire to crack it open. if possible than use a credit card with low limit that way you will remind your self not to over spend.

cut all things that are not necessities, cable, cell phone, and cut back on eating out. And always try to set something aside for savings every week, even if only a few dollars, put in a seperate account and pretend it's not there.

Next raise have your employer put it directly in a savings account, You will not be tempted to spend it if it takes extra steps to get it.
