It is in a bank account right now and it is getting 0.89% interest. I want to buy a motorcycle in a few months, but if i make a good return on this money than the motorcycle can wait. I just wanted to know what i should do. What about paypal and thier interest rates, i heard they were over 4% and that can be taken out whenever. I would greatly appreciate anything you guys can give me. thanks

I am currently 32. I plan to retire at 52. I am currently investing in a tax deferred account. I wish to have money available at 52 also. Is it better to invest on my own for the money I wish to have from 52-60 or would it be better for me to put it in the tax deferred account and take the 10% penalty?

It's worth asking. Let's say I have $1,000 now to invest. I'm willing to take risks with this money and track the investment-- maybe trading stocks on a regular basis. Does anyone have good advice for me to turn my principle investment ($1,000) into a down payment for a home ($80,000) in about two years? I'm willing to throw in up to $200 a month on top of that (for an extra $4,800 buy-in).
