This is a lagging indicator (most of them are) -- but a trend reversal in a major moving average grabs a lot of attention. So don't be a hero here; if support breaks down, take the money and run.

If anybody has ever read any of my posts on real estate, I consider myself a fairly savvy real estate investor. However, I have heard about and want to learn about day trading in stocks. I have an idea on what it is but has anyone done it here and done well? (Or at least not lose their shirts?) Also, if you have done well, what did you do or what skills did you learn in order to be successful? Thanks in advance.

PS. Is this also a good way to make money or is it a waste of time and money?

No

OK I gave everyone the opportunity to research
PBLS I see some thought it was a pump and some actually took a look at it.
I would ask the nay sayers to put it on their trading platforms and watch how real money is made.
all I ask is that you keep it on your watchlist for 6 months and i will come back here and ask the question. ?
Is PBLS the best stock of 2007.
If you just took a fleeting glance and no research
It just goes to show that investors rely on services and puchased information and forget to do their homework.
Nobody wants to do their Homework ????????????
I did my Homework on this issue and at .012 cents it has more value than most AMEX stocks.

220 Million in revenue (from all "verifyable" companies that have been in business for decades)
22 Million profit
No debt
815 OS/ 22 mi = .025 EPS for 2006

Why is it @ a penny because they havent filed in over 8 years. First Q of 2007 they file/W SEC
form 10

8 hours of DD on this Issue or STFU

I have some EE series savings bonds ($50 face / $25 issue) that I received over ten years ago. They mature around 2020. Some of them have a market value exceeding their face value (between $55-$65). If I redeem them at the bank, will I get face or market value? How can I get the market value if not at the bank?

i cant remember the correct method for calculating YTM......example:
A bond makes annual interest payments of $75. The bond matures in four years, has a par value of $1,000, and sells for 975.30 (market value). What is the bonds YTM?

now i realise that for example the % to par is 7.5% and the bond is selling at a discount as it is valued at 975.30 so the interest must be higher than 7.5%. So the next stage is to calculate by making to guess's as to what the interest rate is so i would choose 8% and 12%. I would use these figures in the Po= cf/(1+r)^n......... to incorporate the time value of money and so on and so forth. then obviously i would be given to end values for both sets of interest so that i could find the market price of 975.30. But where do i go from here? the percentage that i get is out everytime , i know the figure is 8.25%. I am not using excel for this or a financial calculator......so no answers in this format. if you can help, much appreciated.

Since the fees for these data is expensive, why can't companies just subscribe to the database for a short period of time, download the whole database on their system, then do backtesting or resell the data. I mean, since the data is raw, there won't be a copy right problem. For the newest data, you could just get it from the source like sec filings etc. Then why are companies still pay a six-figure fee for annual subscription?

My mother is a real estate broker for an extremely large brokerage company. It's actually the 4th largest in the World. She told me that just like Microsoft along time ago, her company is getting ready to sell within 2 years because the CEO and Founder is retiring. She said that they are offering 1000 Free shares to all the employees, and any friends and families of employees who become members free shares also before going PUBLIC WITH THIS. And they predict it will be worth atleast $20-$30 a share.

SHE wants ME to sign up as a member so I will get 1000 free shares, because if I sign up as a member under her, she will get an extra free 1000 shares on top of the 1000 free shares shes already getting. Now my mom has sign up my dad, and 22 others people already.
I heard mutual funds are better than stock trading. Which one is this? Should I sign up? I have by tonight to sign anyone I know up under me,so please tell me asap.
