A company called Proppant Specialists LLC, is coming into our area and making offers to various farmers, and property owners, so that Proppant can come and mine silica. We are unfamiliar with this company, and the impact this mining process will have on our community, environment, water, wildlife, etc. Is there anyone who can share information about this? Is there anyone who knows how to find out? Has anyone had experience with this?
Please tell me as much as you can. The town meeting is on Jan 3rd. We want to know as much as we can beforehand.

Emerging markets are booming these days, tons of money has been exported by institutional investor to pocket handsome return.
A investment company runs 1000 of different funds some of which are exposed completely to emerging markets & other are 10% to 20%. World's know that these market are highly volatile and extremely risky but had performed well than other caps fund and indexes funds.
As an investment company, they had to manage the risk associated with these markets, so they invest millions of money in hedge funds and derivative markets. The significant question arise here is,how the fund manager of the company can optimize their portfolio under a large universe of hedge funds.

Would it be better to pay save at 2% in a bank account to pay a 10% car payment off for a series of months or invest in a CD that you can add to lets say 4000 each month or more that's compounded @ 4.8% and monthly. I'm going with the CD for no but I really am unsure. If a huge amount of money poured in to pay off the car I definitely would but for now should I just let the CD continue to grow until I have enough to pay off the car

I have spent one and a half years researching this Company "Phoenix" Ticker: PBLS
They have not filed in over 8 years. Thats why its at a penny.
In multiple PR's the company said it will file early 2007 The 10 form showing 206 million Revs with 21 million + profit with little to no debt with 815 million outstanding thats .025 EPS for 2006
They have more going than most AMEX stocks.
I am about to "Load the truck" so to say but I would like some other opinions before I do this.
I have spent well over 3000 hrs of DD and research on this stock and think it is the best value
on the planet. I am not telling anyone to buy this
stock .
Just want to see if I have all my cookies ? LOL
I posed this question yesterday but did not get alot of responses.

Thanks

I am in the military, so I won't be making much money in my present vocation; however, when I do have time, I would like to study to be a professional investor, stock trader, or maybe even dabble in the foreign exchange. I am not looking for an MBA (I have a MAcc) or something to hang on my wall, I am looking for practical ways to learn to be a trader. Does anyone have any advice?
