"International Harvester" is the former name of Navistar.

Several questions:

1. Is the certificate "canceled"?. If it is canceled, then it is just a collectors item.

2. Are you or a family member the registered owner? If so, I would open a brokerage account and deposit it into the account. The broker could research and see if the certificate is still valid -- in which case you would have an equity stake in Navistar. A final note: If you or a family is the original owner, and company lost track of you, the state might have already escheated the stock, in which case you would have to reclaim money from the state.

It is probably not worth much but this company buys and sells old stock certificates.
