In a regulated environment, the demand and cost of generating electricity can be accurately forecasted since these are elements of a take-or-pay contract with the off-taker. However, forecasting the sale of electricity is much more volatile if you will offer electricity over a wholesale energy spot market.

How is a merchant plant (deregulated environment) valued if one were to do a feasibility analysis? How do I incorporate the Real Options Valuation (ROV) approach in the financial model?

My husband just recently started an online business with his co-worker. He's also trying to buy some investment property. Should he just concentrate on one thing at a time? I'm concerned about money going out, and that he might be going about things a bit haphazardly.

Say for a six month CD at 5% interest on $1000.

Is it just 5% of the $1000 at the end or is it compounded any?

I have a friend who received a 3 page letter in the mail asking him to send $1 to the people listed and if he wanted, he could purchase a list of 200 names and addresses, add his name to the 6 listed and have those 200 people possibly send him $1 also. I'm concerned about the legalities of this scenario. They say that it's supposedly legal because when the people send you $1, they have to attach a note asking to be added to your mailing list. Any info would be appreciated. Please list web sources if that's what you have. Thanks

I have a wonderful new product; what I'm really looking for is a 50/50 partner. Some one who's already connected, and has the necessary resources to manufactor, advertise, and market my idea. I would prefer a brother Mason, but, it's not a requirement, of course. As God is my witness; if this product is'nt a multi-million-dollar idea, i tell you there just simply, is no such of thing. Typically I'd place several newspaper ads in various major cities, such as, but, not limited to, New York, etc. But, God led me here, and I know He doesn't make mistakes, and in Him I trust, my help is in the Lord. So if anyone can assist me in finding the right resources, I will gladly pay a finder's fee once the arrangement is complete. I thank you. And may God bless everyone out there, real good. Sincerely, "Brother Gerry .E.

p.s. my idea is paten pending by the way. I think it's important that you know that. Thank you once again.
