I am from India, never been to USA, do i need to go to NY,USA to buy NYSE listed stocks?

If you can find Americam brokerage firms like citigroup, goldman sack, etrade, or scottarde in your country.

open the account through the brokerage withe american dollars. you are good to go. but on the tax side. you have to deal with Indian law

I believe India has a stock market and there are N.Y. stock excahnge traded there just like in America they trade stocks in India companies.

You need to open a brokerage account before you buy or sell stocks.

Inquire around where you work if they know of good brokerage companies that you can open an account with.

Then, when you are ready to trade stocks, just do as much research that you can to try and understand stocks.

Remember, there is risk involved and people do lose money in thsi game.

You don´t need to go to the United States of America to buy stocks. You can open a brokerage account at TD Ameritrade over the Internet.
