I am 23 and I have insurance coverage thanks to my dad's workplace. I am currently pregnant. Would I lose this insurance is I were to get married? My fiance is still a student, and I do not think we will have enough time for him to receive a job with benefits before the baby arrives.

Thanks

I recently got fired from my job and they told me I would have 30 days after my last day, May 14th. Blue Cross says I only get until May 30th. BC sent me a letter offering COBRA, but at 381.70 a month!!!! So I called and asked if I could switch plans to an individual plan for less money and they said no. They said the reason is I am seeing a psychiatrist currently. Is it legal for them to not let me get on another plan even though I was a current member?

I recently left my job and I was wondering if the insurance company has to contact me to inform me that my coverage is no longer valid or should I assume that it no longer exists. I can still sign online and see it as active.

I've just received in the mail, paperwork and a letter pointing out that my insurance is "portable" and I can convert it from my employers plan to one of my own.
Should I do that? Have I created any equity in an employer plan such that I would want to retain it?
I still have insurance, now through my new employer, but would this insurance be cheaper because I've had it for a few years?

I was hit by a woman and am recieving a small settlement. Hospital put a lien against her insurance company for FULL BALANCE ONLY and when I called to see if they would negotiate a lower amount they laughed and said, No way. They dont lower the bill for a liability accident and want the full balance paid. I figure that is horrid business ethics when Point A. Someone goes into a hospital with insurace and pays and the insurace company NEVER pays full balance ONLY A PERCENTAGE! and Point B. Someone goes into the hospital without any insurance and they ALWAYS NEGOTIATE A LOWER BILL FOR THEM> So WITH or WITHOUT insurace they will lower the bill, but because they want their greedy little hands on ALL THE money they file a lien and wont lower the bill!! ANY HELP OUT THERE ON HOW TO NEGOTIATE GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED!!!

What are the rule regarding this. If I can not keep the money, how soon do I have to have the work done. I need to give myself a short term loan and the contactor that I gave the money too claims that if he gives me the money back it's insuance fraud. I will eventually do the work but need they money now. The contractor has also been sitting on the money for over a year and I had not heard from him in that time. I am also thinking of doing the repair myself. What are the implications to this?

Now the father does want to help with the baby, wants to be on the birth certificate and everything. Medicaid has paid for my pregnancy medical costs and baby care until now. We are concerned that if they find out that the father changed his mind and wants to help, they will back bill him for all the expenses. What should we do?

I have contacted various UK brokers and insurance companies for a buildings and contents insurance for a residential garage which is not attached to my property.

Purchasing garages on their own have become very popular, however there does not appear to be any process in place for insurance cover.

I have noted a similar question which someone has provided an answer, however so far no insurance company or broker has a strategy in place for such a cover.
