It's not fair, if a 19 year old girl and guy both just get their drivers license's and buy a car the guy will pay double than what the girl pays for insurance.

We booked as a group (2 couples) and don't want to go without the other couple. This was going to be a once in a lifetime holiday. We both have annual travel insurance policies. What are the chances of us getting our money back and what is the best way to approach the insurance company?

We have been having a lot of rain here, more than usual....A few nights ago, it poured for hours, and my roof, which had never had problems in the past, had a leak and water got into my house and ruined my ceiling in the kitchen.....Any ideas if this would covered under home owners? Why or why not? Thanks in advance!

So I spent a few hours with this life insurance agent last weekend discussing various options and she gave me lots of term and whole quotes and paperwork to take home. Did the same with an equally helpful agent of another insurance company thereafter. Quotes vary all over the place, so I intend to consult with one more agent before I decide. Now the problem is how to politely say no to all but one these helpful people? They have already started calling to check if I have decided but I need time to shop around. Hope to hear both from consumers who have faced this situation and insurance salespersons who may perhaps face this frequently. Thanks.

My county has been declared a state of emergency and my basement has flooded at least twice in two weeks by about a foot. last time there was a neon tetra swimming in the water whicch tells me its coming from the sewers! my landlord has not filed a claim. she fears it will raise her rates or that her ins co will drop her from coverage for trying to file a flood claim w/o having flood coverage! i have no washer/dryer, my water heater is a mess. lord knows what the furnace is like, and not to mention the risk of black mold! FEMA can't help me until she at least files a claim...how can i convince her to do it?

I tend to be a bit of a pitbull with follow up on sales I am working on gaining. How can I do so without seeming like a pushy sales agent. I use the consultive sales approach in selling but my clients are Doctors and very overwhelmed with their own work and they forget about policies they have commited to move forward with.
