I tend to be a bit of a pitbull with follow up on sales I am working on gaining. How can I do so without seeming like a pushy sales agent. I use the consultive sales approach in selling but my clients are Doctors and very overwhelmed with their own work and they forget about policies they have commited to move forward with.

I agree that you must be brief and to the point.

Additionally, I think you need to be able to quickly demonstrate your capabilities and your character. You capabilities (knowing your stuff) will stand out in your field. That will come as you gain experience.

Your character could be defined as doing what you said you would do, be prompt, be on time, say please and thank you, etc. As strange as this might sound, if you practice those skills -- you have already seperated yourself from most salespeople -- and will stand out.

I've been doing this profession for more than 30 years.

I am telling you the truth.

Demostrate your charatcer and your competency with these doctors -- and be brief and to the point -- and I believe you are on your way to success that transcends your peers.

You just have to be to the point. "This is what you need, this is what I can give you". That's the way we work in our office.
